Jarrod Thomas was hired as Marshall's Assistant Compliance Director in November 2007 after serving in the same capacity on an interim basis since September 2007. Thomas originally joined the Marshall Compliance staff in May 2007 as a Graduate Assistant.
Prior to arriving at Marshall, Thomas worked as a CHAMPS/Life Skills Mentor in the Academic Division of the Texas Tech Athletics Department. While there he mentored incoming freshman and transfer student-athletes as they transitioned to college and Texas Tech. Additionally he aided in tutoring of the student-athletes and monitoring of the student-athletes academic progress.
Thomas earned a Jurist Doctorate from the Texas Tech School of Law in May 2007, along with his Master's of Business Administration from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech. He received a bachelor's of arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. Currently he is pursuing his Master's of Science in Sports Administration at Marshall University.
