Sandy Toppings has worked at Marshall University for a total of 16 years, including more than six years in the sports information office.

Prior to that she spent time in the facilities scheduling office, eight years in the college of education office, and in the continuing education department.

Her duties in the sports information office include routing media requests to the proper sports information contact, assisting with media arrangements and catering for athletic contests and events and assisting the Olympic sports coaches with national and Mid-American Conference letters of intent for prospective student-athletes.

Sandy is a 1987 graduate of Marshall with an associate's degree in applied science. Sandy and her husband Rick, have three daughters: Kaygan, Morgan, and Ashley, and two sons: Richie, and Alec.
