| M Club Blanket Presentations
You have probably seen at various athletic events the M Club presenting blankets to former athletes, coaches and administrators of marshall university. The blankets are intended to acknowledge the positive representation recipients have provided for our university.
Sometimes that "positive representation" has been primarily on the fields, courts, mats, pools or other venues on which athletes compete. Other times the representation has been in the form of community service or service to the athletic department in behalf of athletes. Regardless, we at the M Club intend for it to be a special award given to those who have enhanced the reputation of the marshall student athlete of the past, present and future.
The blankets are prepared especially for the awardees with their names, years of participation in marshall athletics woven into the fabric. It represents a part of the legacy they have left with marshall university.
The M Club has awarded several blankets over the last few years, but do not anticipate ever running out of worthy recipients. Every year, we develop additional potential heroes to acknowledge in the future.
The M Club blanket is one means the M Club uses to help former student athletes stay in touch with their alma mater, their former teammates, other former marshall athletes and with the university. The blankets are one way the M Club addresses its mission of "athletes helping athletes."
