EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Sophomore Eric Frohnapfel (Morgantown, W.Va.) continues to lead the Marshall University men's cross country as the top runner with an eighth place finish Saturday at the Evansville Invitational.

Frohnapfel finished the 8k run in 25:02 setting a season and personal best at Marshall. He beat his best of 25:47 from the Sean Earl Invitational in September.

Overall the men's team finished sixth out of 22 teams and had a team average of 25:58 on the day. This marks the second week in a row that the men finished in the top ten.

For the women's team, freshman Kylie Lemons (Prichard, W.Va.) finished in 33rd place with a time of 18:54. Sophomore Kathleen Clark (Twinsburg, Ohio) finished just three places back in 36th with a time of 19:01.

Both teams will now prepare for the Conference USA Championships in Memphis, Tenn. The meet is set for Saturday Nov. 1.
