Cross Country Competes in Woodford Trials

VERSAILLES, Ky. - The Marshall University women's cross country team competed today in a two-mile event at the Woodford Trials hosted by the University of Kentucky.

Leading the way for the Thundering Herd was Emily Bailey who placed 23rd with a time of 14:09.00. Next in line for the Herd was Stephanie Achilles who finished 25th in a time of 14:09.00.

University of Kentucky captured the top three spots. Wildcat runners Allison Grace, Leah Kerstetter and Colleen Krout finished first, second and third, respectively.

Marshall will be in action again on Sept. 11 when they travel to Oxford, Ohio to compete in the Miami Invitational.
