Men's and Women's Cross Country to Compete in Miami Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams take to the trail this weekend at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.

This is the first meet of the year for the men’s team and the second for the women’s.

In the women’s first meet Emily Bailey was the top finisher for the Thundering Herd placing 23rd with a time of 14:09.00. Next in line for the Herd was Stephanie Achilles who finished 25th in a time of 14:09.00.

Returning for the men this season is Mike Jones who finished 114th last season at the NCAA Regional Championship and 80th at the Mid-American Conference Championship.

The women’s race begins at 10:15 a.m. and the men will start at 10:45 a.m.
