Men's Cross Country Places Two in Top-Ten

    OXFORD, Ohio – The men’s cross country team placed two runners in the top-10 while the women had a top-15 finisher on Saturday at the Miami Invitational.

    On the men’s side the top finisher was Jason Pyles who took sixth place with a time of 26:25.68. Also for the Thundering Herd, Jonathan Nelson finished tenth in a time of 27:03.91.

    For the women Emily Bailey had the top finish by placing 13th in a time of 21:00.14. Stephanie Achilles was the next highest finishing 19th with a time of 22:45.16.

    Host team Miami claimed the first place honors on both sides of the meet with David Mitchell (24:53.48) winning for the men and Carol Eckerly (18:18.33) for the women.

    The Herd will next travel to Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday.
