Cross Country to Compete in Queen City Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in the Queen City Invitational on Friday, September 17.

The Thundering Herd last competed in the Miami Invitational on September 11. The men had two top-10 finishes from senior Jason Pyles (Galipolis Ferry, W.Va.) and freshman Jonathan Nelson (Barboursville, W.Va.) who placed sixth (26:25.68) and 10th (27:03.91), respectively.

On the women's side the top finisher was freshman Emily Bailey (Kenova, W.Va.) who came in 13th posting a time of 21:00.14.

The Queen City Invitational is being hosted by the University of Cincinnati and in addition to Marshall will feature runners from Morehead State and Kentucky State University.
