Chicago, Ill. - The Marshall University men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the 35th annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Classic hosted by Loyola University Chicago. The races will begin Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

The event is one of the biggest in the nation with over 50 collegiate schools competing along Montrose Avenue Beach on Chicago's north side.

Formerly the Lakefront Invitational, the race became the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in 2000 in honor of former Loyola student-athlete Sean Earl, who passed away in February of 2000 after a battle with cancer.

The men's cross country team is coming off a fifth place finish at the Mel Brodt Invitational. Senior Travis Epling (Point Pleasant, W.Va.) led the team with an 18th place finish with a time 25:52.13.

Results will be posted at www.loyolaramblers.com after 4 p.m. CT.
