GREENVILLE, S.C.- Marshall University men's and women's cross country teams will compete on Saturday in the 34th Annual Furman University Cross Country Invitational Meet. The meet will be held at the Furman University Golf Course. The women will run in a 5k event at 11:20 a.m., followed by the men at 11:45 a.m. on an 8k course.

Marian Brooks will lead the women's side. At the Sean Earl Lakefront Classic on Sept. 30, Brooks placed 13th overall in the women's race.

Leading the men's side will be Jon Nelson. Nelson finished the 8k race at the Lakefront Classic in 50th place with a time of 26:16.

This is the last regular season meet before the Conference USA Championships on Oct. 28 in Greenville, N.C.
