HUNTINGTON- Senior cross country runner Marian Brooks was named third team all-conference by Conference USA on Saturday, Oct. 28 following the Conference USA cross country championship.

Brooks, who placed 13th in the championship race, is the first ever Marshall cross country runner to be honored by C-USA.

"Marian ran a great race despite not feeling very well on race day. It was all guts and determination on her part to earn a spot on the all-conference team," Coach Jeff Small said.

This season Brooks has led the women's squad in each of the five meets and improved her personal best time in the 5k from 18:21 to 18:18.
