Herd Ends Season At MAC Championships placing 13th and 12th.

    Sophomore Stephanie Eastman led the way for the Herd placing 56th.

    OXFORD, OH—The Marshall men and women’s cross country teams had their season come to a grinding halt Saturday at the MAC Championships. The women finished 13th and the men finished 12th to conclude the cross country seasons.

    Stephanie Eastman led the way for the Thundering Herd finishing in 56th place with a time of 19:09. Juniors Shelby Pride and Sarah Corley were also among the top finishers for the Herd women placing 64th and 94.

    Brent Garrett led the way for the men finishing 69th with a time of 26:45. The men finished all five runners in the top 100. Other placers for the Herd were Greg Howard, 78, Michael Jones, 82, Jason Pyles, 86, and Eric Anderson 91.

    Toledo won its second consecutive Mid-American Conference Champions for the women. The Rockets’ Briana Shook won the individual title with a time of 17:03. Central Michigan walked away with the men’s team championship, while Eastern Michigan’s Gavin Thompson won the men’s individual championship.
