HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Thundering Herd head basketball coach Donnie Jones announced today that Camden Miller, a forward out of Wheelersburg, Ohio, will transfer to Marshall from Western Carolina University.

Miller, 6-foot-8, played in 16 games last season at Western Carolina and averaged 11.9 minutes, 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Catamounts.

Miller played his prep basketball at Wheelersburg High School where he led the Pirates to a 23-3 record and a berth in the 2006 Ohio Division III Final Four. As a senior, Miller was named co-Division III Player of the Year, third team All-Ohio, first team All-District 13 and first team All-Southeast District while averaging 17.5 points and 7.6 rebounds with a 56.9 field goal percentage.

"Cam brings great versatility to the small and power forward positions," Jones said. "He has a great basketball IQ and is a terrific shooter that possesses the ability to handle and pass in our up-tempo style of play.

"We're excited about him being apart of our program."

Miller, per NCAA transfer regulations, will sit out the 2008-09 season and will be eligible to play in the fall of 2009.
