Athlon College Football is now taking pledges for customized preview covers for colleges and universities. Marshall fans have the opportunity to make sure the Thundering Herd is featured on a special edition cover by pledging to purchase the magazine online at www.athlonsports.com/college-football/9493/custom-covers.

In order for a magazine to be produced, 1,000 commitments for that school must be received by the deadline. If that total is reached, e-mails will be sent out beginning in mid-February to purchase the magazine for $6.99. If at least 1,000 purchases are received, the magazine will be produced.

Herd fans interested in a Marshall-themed Athlon Sports Limited Edition Cover should encourage their friends and family to pledge now.

A minimum of 1,000 pledges must complete the purchase of the Special Edition Custom Cover prior to March 31, 2007 in order for that magazine to be produced. An email will be sent to all pledges indicating when they can begin making payment.

If the required 1,000 minimum purchases are not completed by the deadline, all customers who already completed the transaction for the magazine will not be charged and that magazine will not be produced.

Athlon Sports will determine which edition will serve as the contents for each Special Edition. (ie. Southeastern, Big 10, Big 12, etc...)

Athlon Sports will determine the look of each Special Edition Magazine (call-outs, title, athlete, photo, etc.) and makes no guarantees as to the contents of each school's Special Edition in advance.

Once Athlon Sports has received the required minimum of 1,000 orders, the order information will be processed and the Special Edition will go into production. At that time there will be no refunds. All sales are final.
