Green-White Game Set for Saturday
4/1/2004
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University’s football team will end spring practice this Saturday, April 3, with the annual Green-White Game at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
WRVC-AM 930 will broadcast the game locally with Robert Harper and Woody Woodrum providing the play-by-play coverage.
Admission to the Green-White game is $5, and tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the game or through the Marshall University ticket office. Fan parking is also available on the West Lot of the stadium for an additional $5. All proceeds from the event go to the Marshall Quarterback Club, which supports the Thundering Herd football program throughout the year.
The Marshall University ticket office will also have a ticket sales and information booth located at Gate A in the northwest corner of the stadium to assist fans with purchasing season tickets or answering any questions concerning tickets for the 2004 season.
Marshall returns more than 40 letter-winners from last season’s 8-4 team that posted a monumental win over eventual Big 12 Conference Champion Kansas State. The senior-laden Thundering Herd will open the 2004 season at home on Sept. 4th against Troy State University.
In addition to other festivities surrounding the game, the Marshall Athletic Department's second annual spring auction will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the M-Club pavillion in the stadium West Lot.
This year’s auction will include jerseys and apparel from various Thundering Herd athletic teams, with proceeds going to benefit each team's equipment budget. Only checks and cash will be accepted at the auction.
