MGM Big Green Functions Set for Thursday and Friday; Snyder, Jirsa & Pruett Visiting Mason County this Week

The annual Mason, Gallia and Meigs Counties Big Green Club Cook Out and Golf Scramble in Point Pleasant and Mason is scheduled for next Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27.

Marshall University head football coach Mark Snyder and former coach Bob Pruett, along with several other MU coaches and administrators are scheduled to attend the cook out, which includes a silent auction for Marshall related items. The cook out is set to begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. on Thursday at American Legion Post 23 in Point Pleasant.

Snyder, basketball coach Ron Jirsa, Athletic Director Bob Marcum, and other MU coaches and staff members, are also scheduled to be in attendance at the golf scramble. The scramble, which includes lunch, is slated for Friday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at the Riverside Golf Club in Mason.

Proceeds from the events go to benefit Marshall University Athletics through the Big Green Scholarship Foundation.
