Season Ticket Sales Still Brisk
Ticket Caravan Rolls Into Parkersburg, Pt. Pleasant and Gallipolis

6/19/2002

The Marshall University Athletic Ticket Office announced today that they have surpassed 11,000 season tickets sold for the 2002 Thundering Herd football season.

“We are very happy with the sales we have had to date,” Ticket Manager Michael Carpenter said. “We do want to make sure that fans who have not yet purchased their tickets know there are still plenty of great seats available for this fall.”

The ticket office will be working with renewed season ticket holders over the next two weeks on moves and additional tickets. All seat location changes will be made based on Big Green priority points.

“Once we have completed all of the changes for season ticket holders, we will be able to begin making allocations for new season ticket holders based on their date of purchase,” Carpenter said.

Once all allocations are made, remaining available seats will be made available for sale beginning July 1. Fans purchasing new season tickets after July 1 will have an opportunity to “Choose Your Seat” on July 20 at Marshall Stadium

The Marshall Athletic Ticket Office also announced that only 300 tickets remain for the Virginia Tech game on Sept. 12 in Blacksburg. Although the Big Green Priority deadline has passed, fans may still order tickets. Locations will be based on the best remaining tickets.

Herd fans in Parkersburg, Pt. Pleasant and Gallipolis will have a chance to get together on Thursday to talk Marshall football with Coach Bob Pruett and several Herd players at a trio of Season Ticket Caravan stops. Fans in those areas will also be able to get information on all of the various Marshall football season ticket packages.

The Ticket Caravan will roll into Parkersburg at the North End Tavern from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. From there the group will head to Turnpike Ford in Gallipolis, OH, where they will be from 2-4 p.m. The final stop will be at Village Pizza in Pt. Pleasant from 4-6 p.m.
