HUNTINGTON - Seniors Doug Legursky, Bernard Morris, Brian Shope and junior Albert McClellan have been selected to serve as the Marshall University football team's team captains for 2007.

The quartet was elected by a team vote.

"This is the closest the vote has been since I have been here and that is a good thing," Head Coach Mark Snyder said.

Legursky, a senior center from Beckley, W.Va., and Bernard Morris, a senior quarterback from Orlando, Fla., are repeat selections as captains. Both players were named captains last season.

"I appreciate the respect from our teammates," Legursky said. "We put a lot of hard work in and try to lead by example on and off the field. For our teammates to recognize that with this honor really means a lot."
