Marshall will travel to Southern Miss on Saturday for a Conference USA East Division contest that will be televised regionally by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (Channel 68 on Comcast Cable in Huntington). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.(ET).

Due to television rights, the game video will not be available through Herdzone All-Access. Audio from the Thundering Herd/ISP radio broadcast with Steve Cotton play-by-play will be available on All-Access and across the THN radio network. Fans across the country check for Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast availability in their area by going online to www.csssports.com and utilizing the CSS zip code finder.

Marshall is 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Conference USA following last Saturday's dramatic 17-16 win over Memphis. The Thundering Herd has now won five of its last eight games dating back to last season and now faces a Southern Miss team that enjoys one of the top home field advantages in C-USA.

Southern Miss leads the all-time series between the two schools 3-0 and the Golden Eagles took the only game in the series in Hattiesburg by the score of 42-7 in 2006. Southern Miss downed the Thundering Herd 33-24 last season in Huntington.

Saturday's game will be the first meeting between MU head coach Mark Snyder and Southern Miss head coach Larry Fedora. Fedora has taken over the Golden Eagle program after a stint as offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State where his offenses flourished.

Southern Miss (2-1) is coming off of a 27-24 win at Arkansas State and have a balanced offensive attack. The Golden Eagles are averaging 197.9 rushing yards per game to go along with 231 passing yards per contest. All-Conference USA running back Damion Fletcher has already rushed for 338 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Austin Davis is an impressive 65-of-102 for 693 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, the Golden Eagles are led by all-conference linebacker Gerald McRath who already has 32 tackles in just three games.
