HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University athletics unveiled a new 48-foot trailer that will be used to transport football equipment on road trips for the Thundering Herd football program, today. The trailer is a joint venture between Pepsi Bottling Group and Marshall's athletic department.

"I am excited that Pepsi could help make this possible," Marshall athletic equipment manager Rich Worner said. "This will be a valuable tool in helping us transport all of our equipment. For years we rented a truck and trailer to transport our equipment on road trips and bowl games. This well designed trailer will give us a lot more flexibility and work as a traveling advertisement for Marshall."

The trailer is adorned with Marshall's championship trophies, athletics logos, a background painting of Buffalo, and Pepsi marks. The trailer also features a lift gate, inside lighting, chrome wheels, and external battery packs.

"We are proud of our strong relationship with Marshall and are happy to be a part of the continued growth of Thundering Herd athletics," Mark George of Pepsi said.

Marshall University Director of Athletics Bob Marcum echoed those same sentiments.

"Pepsi is truly one of our great corporate sponsors," Marcum said. "We are fortunate to have such a great relationship and I appreciate their latest contribution. This trailer will be a valuable asset to our equipment staff and football team."
