Bonner Signs With Marshall Football

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Head Football Coach Mark Snyder announced the signing of East Mississippi Community College wide receiver Wayne Bonner, Thursday. Bonner, a six-foot-four standout, joins quarterbacks Press Taylor of Butler Community College (Kan.) and Jake Laudenslayer of Mendocino College (Calif.), Laney College (Calif.) all-purpose back Troy Evans and Bakersfield Community College safety Brandon Miller who signed with the Thundering Herd on Wednesday. Wayne Bonner Receiver East Mississippi C.C. Height: 6’4” Weight: 210 Hometown: Milledgeville, Ga. (Baldwin H.S.)Rated as the #64 overall junior college player in the country by Rivals.com…a high school teammate of current Marshall all-conference running back Darius Marshall at Baldwin High…has been timed with 4.5 second speed in the 40-yard dash…helped EMCC to an 8-1 overall record and a north division title…recorded 23 catches for 457 yards and seven touchdowns last season…Bonner played his freshman season at Butler C.C. with fellow Marshall signee Press Taylor.
