Men's Golf Concludes Final Round of OSU's Kepler Intercollegiate

Kepler Intercollegiate FINAL RESULTS
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Marshall University men's golf team carded a score of 312 in the final round of action at the Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State, on Sunday to finish in 14th place at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, its last tournament in advance of the Conference USA Championship. The Thundering Herd posted its best round of the tournament with its Sunday finish, but placed in last at the 14-team field. The Herd's Jonathan Pepe scored a 7-over 78 in the final round, which put the senior in a tie for 34th place. MU junior Nathan Kinker also posted a round of 77 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 47th place at the 75-player field. The University of Colorado Buffaloes (900) won the event by three strokes over Michigan State (903). Kent State (908) finished in third place. MSU's Ryan Brehm claimed medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 218, four strokes ahead of Colorado's Luke Symans (222). Marshall will next prepare for the C-USA Championship, to be played in Texarkana, Ark., from April 20-22.
