Men's Golf Finishes In 16th Place At Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS - The Thundering Herd men's golf team finished in 16th place with a team total of 654 (322-332) at the Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus. Louisville won the team title with a two-round total of 591 (292-299) at the Scarlet Course. The Cardinals won the 16-team event by nine strokes over second place Michigan State, who finished with a 600 (295-305). The Spartans' Matt Harmon won medalist honors at the abbreviated tournament with an even-par 142 (71-71), two strokes better than Louisville's Derek Fathauer, who finished at 144 (72-72). The Thundering Herd were led by Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.), who finished with a 159 (76-83), which tied him for 46th place. Other Marshall scores from the Kepler Intercollegiate:
Marshall finished up its regular season Sunday, and will return to the course at the Conference USA Championships in Texarkana, Ark., April 29-May 1. ### |
