Marshall Completes Day One of OSU's Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Marshall University men's golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State, on Saturday at the Scarlet Course with a score of 643 (322-321), which puts the Thundering Herd in 14th place. Marshall's Jonathan Pepe paced the Herd at the par-71 course, posting consecutive rounds of 78 to put the senior in a tie for 33rd place. Teammate Nathan Kinker carded Marshall's best single-round of the day with a 4-over 75 in the second round. Kinker's score of 160 (85-75) places him in a tie for 50th in the 14-team, 75-player field. Michigan State leads the tournament with a 605, just one stroke ahead of Colorado (606). The Spartans' Ryan Brehm (145) and Ohio State's Zach Sebert are tied for first place through 36 holes.
