Men's Golf Plays In Final Regular Season Tournament At Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Thundering Herd will compete at Ohio State's Kepler Intercollegiate this Saturday and Sunday at the newly renovated Scarlet Course in Columbus.

Marshall had a strong finish in last year's Kepler Intercollegiate, which was played at the Muirfield Village Golf Club. The Herd finished in fourth place, and MU golfer Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.) finished in fifth place, which led him to Conference USA Player of the Week honors.

Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, SMU, South Carolina, and Wisconsin will all tee it up with the Thundering Herd this weekend in the 54-hole event. Thirty-six holes are slated for Saturday, with the final 18 holes coming on Sunday.

Competing this weekend for Marshall is Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine), Christian Brand (Charleston, W.Va.), Schambach, Brandon Katzeff (Uniontown, Pa.), Phil DiLorenzo (Wellston, W.Va.), and Chris Tipper (Parkersburg, W.Va.). Tipper will play as an individual.
