MU Dugout Club Golf Tournament Set

HUNTINGTON, WV - Marshall University baseball coach Dave Piepenbrink has announced the date for the 6th Annual Dugout Club Golf Tournament.
The tournament, which is held annually at Esquire Country Club, raises money for the Marshall baseball program. The Tournament is set for Friday, October 20th.

"This tournament has become an excellent fund-raiser for the Marshall baseball program and is also an opportunity for supporters of the program to come together for a fun event," Piepenbrink said. "We are looking forward to having a full field for the tournament this year and are encouraging teams to sign up early."

The cost to participate in the tournament is $65 per player. Tee box sponsorships are available for $150 and corporate sponsorships are available for $500 with all proceeds going to benefit the Thundering Herd baseball program.

Prizes will be awarded at the tournament in a variety of categories, including closest to the pin, longest drive, putting and hole-in-one prizes.

Players, teams and sponsors can register for the tournament in advance by contacting the Marshall baseball office at 696-5277. Registration the day of the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be a putting contest at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start for the tournament at 10 a.m.
