Mike Nissim-Sabat is in his first season as assistant coach for the Marshall men's soccer program. He served as a volunteer assistant coach in 2005 for the Thundering Herd.

In 2004, Nissim-Sabat held the assistant coach position for the men's soccer program at Roanoke College. A 2003 graduate of the University of Mary Washington, Nissim-Sabat played four years at center midfielder for his alma mater and twice earned Scholar-Athlete All-America honors.

He also nabbed first-team All-Capital Athletics Conference honors his junior and senior years and was team captain his final three years. Nissim-Sabat also has extensive experience coaching at the youth and club levels. He currently holds a National GK Diploma and an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA.

He also is the coach of the Player Development Program of the West Virginia Soccer Club and works throughout the club.

A native of Fredricksburg, Va., Nissim-Sabat was born July 25, 1981. In addition to coaching, he also is working toward his master's degree in athletic administration at Marshall.
