Men's Soccer Competes in Dayton Tournament This Weekend

DAYTON, Ohio - The Marshall University men's soccer team will wrap-up early season tournament play with one last stop in Ohio for the Dayton Tournament starting Friday. The Thundering Herd (0-5) will open with the Dayton Flyers (3-2-1) Friday at 8p.m followed with the Butler Bulldogs (3-1-1) Sunday at noon. Marshall and the host school Dayton have played three times with the Flyers taking all three contests. The two last met in 2005 when Dayton took a 2-0 victory. As for the second game, this will mark the first meeting between the Bulldogs and the Herd. This season, Marshall has had five different scores with one goal each including sophomores Sammy Boateng (Accra, Ghana) and Kendall Sutton (Wheaton, Md.) Senior Greg Walter (Slippery Rock, Pa.) has started in all five games for the Herd and has 14 saves on the season. All games of the Dayton Tournament will be played at Baujan Field.
