Men's Soccer Set for C-USA Road Match Against Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - The Marshall University men's soccer team will play its first road Conference USA game of the season against the #20 nationally ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane Saturday Oct. 11. Tulsa leads the overall series against Marshall 3-1. The Herd won the first meeting in 2005 by a score of 2-1. The Golden Hurricane however is on a three-game winning streak since then taking last season's meeting 2-1. Last time out, the Thundering Herd (0-9-1, 0-2) lost to Central Florida 3-1 at home on Saturday Oct. 4 while the Golden Hurricane (7-3-1, 3-0) is coming off a 2-1 victory over Kentucky Wednesday. This season Marshall is led by junior Dustin Dawes (Nashville, Tenn.) who has scored three goals. In his first year with the Herd, Dawes has started in all 10 games. Leading the way for Tulsa is freshman Neil Austin with three goals. Senior Tyrel Lacey has started all 11 games in goal for the Golden Hurricane allowing 10 goals on the season. The contest is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. eastern time and will be available via Gametracker.
