SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - After two rounds, the Thundering Herd women's golf team finds itself in a ninth place tie following day one of the Ross Resorts Invitational which is being held at the Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Larie Lynch, who led Marshall with rounds of 78 and 81, respectively, is tied for 26th overall. Andrea Grier finished five shots behind Lynch, tallying a 164 over the first two rounds.

Rollins College, the host of the tournament, is the leader following the first day of action, notching a combined team score of 613. Augusta State is just four strokes behind in second place while the University of Cincinnati finds itself in third place with a 618. Marshall's score of 645 is good for a ninth place tie with Western Michigan.

The tournament will wrap up on Tuesday as the teams will play 18 holes starting at 8:30 a.m.
