First Market Bank Invitational Up Next For Women's Golf

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - After a two-week layoff, the Marshall University women's golf team will head to Williamsburg, Virginia for this weekend's First Market Bank Intercollegiate. William & Mary will host the two-day tournament, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Ford's Colony Country Club. Eighteen holes will be played on each day. Twenty schools will be participating in the tournament including Georgetown, Eastern Kentucky, James Madison, William and Mary and former Mid-American Conference rival Western Michigan. Two weeks ago, the Thundering Herd opened up its spring season at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Marshall finished 22nd in the tournament and was led by Molly Ginger's three-round total of 246.
The Herd be right back on the course next week, participating in the Cincinnati Spring Invite. The event, which is being hosted by the University of Cincinnati, will take place at the Plantation Inn Golf Club in Crystal River, Florida.
