HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall head women's soccer coach Chris Kane has announced the addition of Suzie Grech as an assistant coach and Angie Gue as Director of Women's Soccer Operations to complete his staff for the 2005 season.

"I'm excited to have Suzie and Angie join our staff," said Kane. "Both will provide the energy and expertise to help Marshall women's soccer succeed in Conference USA."

Grech enters her first season with the Thundering Herd as an assistant coach after a stellar playing career with the Michigan Wolverines and will be in charge of the Herd's goalkeeping corps.

Grech played at Michigan from 2000-2003, and left the women’s soccer program as the all-time leader in goals against average, games played, games started, minutes, and shutouts, and ended her Wolverine career with a career record of 36-18-3. Her Michigan teams made two NCAA appearances in 2002 (Elite Eight) and 2003 (Sweet Sixteen), and in 2001, she earned second team All-Big Ten and All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Grech also participated internationally for Spain, where she earned a silver medal at the European Women’s U-18 Championships in 1999 and 2000. She garnered six International Caps with the full national team, and 14 International Caps with the U-18 national team.

From 2003 to 2004, she coached at Brighton High School in Ann Arbor, Mich., and also served as an assistant coach for the University of Michigan’s Soccer Club.

Gue's duties as Marshall’s Director of Soccer Operations will include team travel, organizing practices, and game-day preparation.

Gue, from Ann Arbor, Mich., has five years of coaching at the club and high school levels in soccer. She has served as the head soccer coach of the Northville Sting U-12 Soccer Club (1997-1999) in Northville, Mich., and the West Virginia Rowdies U-13 Soccer Club (1999-2000) in Huntington, and assistant varsity women’s soccer coach at Northville High School (1997-99) in Northville, Mich., and the Wesleyan School (2000-02) in Norcross, Ga.

Gue resides in Proctorville, Ohio, with her husband Alex, Vice President of ISP Sports in Huntington, and their twins, Beckett and Bella.
