2009 (Sophomore):
Started and played in 47 games in her second year...led the team in several categories as a sophomore with a .370 batting average, .593 slugging percentage, .418 on base percentage, 35 RBIs and 80 total bases...tied for the team lead with 10 doubles and fourth in home runs at six...tied for the team lead in sacrafice flies at four ranking her 14th nationally...started the season against Senton Hall going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and one run...had 16 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI contests...went 3-for-4 against UIC with a triple and two RBIs...had a four RBI game against Miami (Ohio) going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs...had two doubles in game one against Ohio...named to the NFCA All Regional First Team to the non-pitcher/utility position.
2008 (Freshman):
Honored as a member of the C-USA All-Freshman team...batted .252 in her first season with 20 RBIs, four home runs and nine doubles...best game came at Memphis going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs...hit her first career home run against Evansville, Feb. 17...earned a walkoff base on balls to defeat No. 8 DePaul, the highest ranked opponent in the program's history in the season opener...hit a walkoff home run to end a 10-inning marathon against UAB, April 12...had three multi-RBI games and four multi-hit performances...started the final series against Georgetown at the catcher position...finished second on the team with 31 walks...primarily hit in the fifth spot in the Herd lineup.
High School:
Attended Rogers High School and played for coach Jacy Ramsey...lettered one year in basketball...had a .456 batting average...team were league champs in 2006...named first-team all-state catcher in 2007...all-area selectee and first-team all-league during her senior season...played in the ASA Senior All-Star Challenge and went 1-for-2 with an RBI...played for the Washington Ladyhawks in the summer and finished 9th at the Gold Nationals.

Born Melanie Anne Stoehr, April 11, 1989...parents Paul and Sue Stoehr...father is a cabinet maker and mother is a secretary for the Washinton state senate...three siblings: brothers Lucas (29) and Robbie (27), sister Kristin (24)...senior scholar-athlete award and garnered the Presidential and Govenor's Award...held a 3.95 GPA in high school...her role model is her brother Robbie...planning to pursue a degree in sports management and marketing.
