Softball to Host Kent State

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The Marshall University softball team will host Kent State University on Saturday, April 27th, in a Mid-American Conference double-header and will play the Golden Flashes in a single game on Sunday the 28th. The games will begin at 1:00 p.m. on both days and will be played at Dot Hicks Field on the campus of Marshall University.
Marshall currently holds fourth place in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference with an 8-11 mark in the league. The Herd is 15-26 overall and is in the thick of a tough battle to qualify for the MAC tournament. MU dropped two games to Western Michigan University, 5-3 and 4-3, in their last outing.
Kent is currently in sixth place in the East Division of the MAC with a 6-10 record. The Golden Flashes took two-of-three from the University at Buffalo in their last MAC series and currently have a 17-22 overall record.
Admission is free to all Marshall softball games at Dot Hicks Field.
