Mid-American Conference Softball Tournament Delayed Due to Rain

AKRON, Ohio-The Mid-American Conference softball tournament is operating on a slight delay due to inclimate weather in the area. The tournament will be operating on an approximate two and one half hour delay.

Friday's first contest between Miami University and Northern Illinois, scheduled at 11:00 p.m. has been changed to start at 2:00 p.m. Marshall University was slated to play the third game of the day at 5:00 p.m., but is now expected to begin at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The top seeded Herd (41-15) will square off against the number two seeded Broncos of Western Michigan (28-22) in the winner's bracket. WMU defeated Miami University 2-1 on Thursday to advance to play the Herd.
