Perfect Game Softball to Host Identification Camp at Marshall

7/3/2003

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Perfect Game Softball will hold an identification camp on Dot Hicks Field at Marshall University on Wednesday, July 23.

The staff of Perfect Game Softball consists of former players and coaches from the Women’s Professional Softball League and former DI players and coaches. Throughout the event the staff will be evaluating the players. Each player will receive their profile, photo and skill grades posted on the organization’s website as well as sent out to nearly every college in the U.S. This is a great opportunity for players to measure their skills to those of their peers in different areas. It is also a chance for the athlete to be seen by the organization’s scouts. Perfect Game will then invite the top prospects from each camp to participate in their showcase and/or tournaments.

Perfect Game has helped numerous athletes reach the next level with some of the country’s elite programs. The cost of the camp is $150 per player. A discount will be awarded to any team with more than five players attending the camp. More information can be obtained on the Perfect Game website located at www.perfectgame.org.
