HUNTINGTON - The Marshall swimming and diving team will compete in its final meet before the 2007 Conference USA Championships as it enters a four way battle Saturday with East Carolina, Catawba and Winthrop.

ECU will give the Thundering Herd their first look at where they stand against C-USA Competition as they prepare for the Championships on Feb. 27 - March 1.

"ECU is a great team," Marshall head coach Leonard Kraus said. "They're deep and have some studs up front. They are the best team we have faced this year, we have to step up and race.

"It is always a little different with a tri or quad-meet. We have to focus and put our athletes where we think will best challenge ECU but we also have to watch Catawba and Wingate. This will be a fun weekend and another opportunity to hone our racing for conference."
