Women's Swimming and Diving Sign First Recruit

HUNTINGTON, W. VA.—Marshall University Swimming and Diving coach Leonard Kraus has announced his first signee in Carly Adkins, a diver from Titusville, Florida. Adkins attended Titusville High School.

“Carly is our first official signee, and with it, begins a program,” said Kraus. “She is a talented diver with a big upside, especially on the 3-meter board. She has a good chance to score at the MAC Championships her first year. You can’t ask much more from a diver than that.”

Adkins qualified 12th at the Florida High School Association’s state swim meet, but was unable to compete due to illness. She enters Marshall with local family ties. Her parents are from Huntington, and her grandparents still live in the area.
