Women's Swimming And Diving Continues To Build Inaugural Team

Huntington, W.Va.--Marshall University women's swimming and diving coach Leonard Kraus has added another signee for competition in the Fall of 2002 in Liisa Raty, a multi-event swimmer from Espoo, Finland.

"With Liisa we have a backstroker that can swim with the top girls in the conference in the 200 back and I think her 100 will be in the same condition by MAC Championships next year," said Kraus. "She should also play a big role in the medley relays."

Kraus is expecting Raty to swim backstroke, sprint fly, and some IM events. Raty is the fourth scholarship swimmer to sign with the Herd.
