Swimming And Diving Adds Another Signee

Huntington, W.Va.— Marshall University head Swimming and Diving coach Leonard Kraus announced the signing of Laura Alsager from Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Alsager attended Mount Pleasant High School. She is the fifth swimmer to sign a National Letter of Intent with Marshall University.

Alsager is expected to swim breaststroke for the Herd when they start competition in the fall of 2002.

"Laura is my third breaststroker, someone that has not had a lot of experience in swimming,” said Kraus. “I think she will come in and give quality depth in the breast events and develop into a very good swimmer over her four years."

Alsager graduated from Mount Pleasant High School with a 3.9 GPA.
