Huntington, W.Va.--Marshall University Swimming and Diving Coach Leonard Kraus announced that Casey Mulholland, a diver from St. Pius High School in Stone Mountain, Ga., has become the eighth scholarship athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Thundering Herd this fall.
Mulholland was a standout diver for the Lions, finishing fifth in the state as a freshman, third as a sophomore and junior, and first as a senior. In the state of Georgia, the A, AA, AAA, and AAAA classifications compete in one meet, making Mulholland the best diver in four classifications.
"Casey, I believe, can be as good as a diver as she wants to be,” said Kraus. “She has had some experience with high level meets so the transition to college meets should be pretty smooth. She is truly talented and along with Carly (Adkins) they will be a wonderful tandem of divers."
