Marshall Swimmers to Face Towson and Toledo in Orlando

ORLANDO - The Marshall swimming and diving team is in the midst of its winter training session in Florida and will compete tomorrow in a three-way meet with Towson and Toledo. This will be the Herd's first live competition since its highly successful showing at the Miami Invitational where the team set new season bests in nearly every event along with three new school records. Fresh off a breaking a pair of her own Marshall records, breaststroker Michaela Sceli continues to lead the Herd among Conference USA competitors, ranking second and third in C-USA in the 100-yard and 200-yard events respectively. Junior Kayla Truswell ranks fifth in the league in the 200 butterfly and senior Lauren Goodwin is fifth overall in the 400 IM. On the diving side, Siobhan Schuurman stands in third-place in C-USA in the one-meter event with her zone qualifying score of 280.72 After returning from their training trip later this week the Herd swimmers will have a break for the holiday before returning for their final home meet of the season against Akron on Jan. 12.
