Final Regular Season Weekend For Herd Tennis
Ball State and Bowling Green Close Out MAC Slate

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Thundering Herd tennis team will hit the courts for its final two regular season matches of the season Friday and Saturday when it plays host to Ball State and Bowling Green in Mid-American Conference action.
Friday's match is set for a 1 p.m. start against the Cardinals at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center on campus. Marshall will then conduct its senior day festivities on Saturday against the Falcons at 1 p.m.
Marshall is 14-7 on the season and 6-1 in MAC play. Ball State is 13-7 on the year and 3-4 in conference action. The BGSU Falcons are 12-7 overall and 4-3 in the league.
The Thundering Herd is wrapping up play in the Mid-American Conference this weekend before it heads to Conference USA in 2005-06. It will also say goodbye to its most successful class in history, Saturday, before heading to the MAC Tournament.
Since the arrival of the current seniors, Marshall has amassed a 41-2 record in MAC play, and is 15-0 at home against conference foes. In individual matches, the senior starting lineup is an unprecedented 255-15 overall, dominating MAC competition.
Against this weekend's competition overall since joining the MAC, Marshall is 7-1 against both Ball State and Bowling Green and hasn't lost to either squad since the 1998 inaugural season in the MAC.
Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts on Friday and Saturday. If inclement weather occurs, the match will be played at the Huntington Tennis Club in Barboursville. Senior day festivities on Saturday will take place between doubles and singles competition.
