Number 1 Seeded Marshall Prepares for the MAC Tennis Tournament

The Marshall University tennis team will be in Kalamazoo, MI this weekend to compete for the Mid-American Conference Tennis Title. The tournament will be held Thursday through Sunday on the campus of Western Michigan.
Marshall captured the MAC regular season co-championship last weekend with a, 5-2, win over Miami in Oxford, OH. Marshall and Western Michigan both ended the season with a 7-2 league mark. The Thundering Herd secured the #1 seed in the MAC Tournament by defeating Western Michigan University, 4-3, on April 1st.
Marshall's first match will be Friday April 28,th at 10:00 a.m. against the winner of the Toledo-Akron match. The Herd received a bye in the first day of competition. If the Thundering Herd wins its match on Friday, it will compete again on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. against the winner of the Miami-Eastern Michigan second round match. The MAC tournament championship match is set for Sunday afternoon.
The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship in May. The location of the NCAA Championships will be announced by the NCAA on Thursday, May 4.
