JUNIOR SEASON Tanner appeared in all 32 matches...played in 93 games...tallied her lone kill in 3-2 win over VCU, Aug. 25...had 116 digs on the year including four double-digit dig matches...had a season-high 15 digs against Gardner-Webb, Aug. 31...averaged 1.25 digs per game in 2007...added a pair of service aces in wins against Tennessee State (Sept. 1) and Southern Miss (Nov. 2) to highlight her total of 13 on the year. SOPHOMORE SEASON Tanner participated in all 32 matches and tallied 163 digs as a defensive specialist in 2006. She posted a season-high 13 digs on Nov. 5 against UAB, and reached double digits in three other games. She also contributed 18 service aces and 18 assists including 3 against West Virginia on Sept. 19. FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in all of Marshall's 32 matches in 2005... made 23 assists and a season-high of 3 against Cincinnati... Tanner's one kill came at Houston against the Cougars... had double figure digs eight times during the season, and 236 total for the year... at SMU Oct. 30 she posted her highest single game effort in digs with 17... finished the season with 19 aces... PRIOR TO MARSHALL: As a standout at Ryle High School in Union, Ky., Tanner lettered for four-years on the varsity...In 2004, she was first-team All NKGVA, all region, best defensive player on team, all district, and 2nd Team All-State...she had the team's best service percentage in 2001 and 2003...in 2002 and 2003, she was a member of the 17th District all-tournament team, 2002-2003 best defensive award...2003 NKGVCA All Opponent Division I second team...Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference All-Star team in 2003....Cake Classic All Tournament team in 2002...Her club experience includes, her NKJV 17 Purple team placed first at the Invitational in Phoenix in 2002, her NKJV 14 Purple placed 10th at Nationals in Salt Lake City in 2000...Tanner was also involved in the Athletic Women of Ryle, FBLA and Men and Women of Ryle...she is the daughter of Darlo and Ron Tanner |
